Hamn i Senja is beautifully situated on the outer side of Norway’s second largest island, in the middle of one of the country’s richest fishing grounds and with hundreds of islets and islands beyond. The name "Hamn" means harbour, and Hamn has been a safe harbour for many a fisherman during hundreds of years.


Senja is known as ‘a Norway in miniature’ and can offer a unique diversity and deep experience of nature throughout the year. All within a few hours drive.

For a stay in Hamn between September to the end of May you have to book in advance since we are not open on daily basis. From the end of May to the end of August, it is also possible to drop in and see if we have available rooms, and the restaurant will be open every day.
