Whale watching 2018

The whale season on Senja is normally in January. The last years have been fabulous with hundreds of humpbacks and orcas visiting the fjord outside Hamn, and even joining us in the harbour to the excitement of our guests on land. The January season 2017 was different with only random visits of whales in the Senja area, but hopefully they will return from the Tromsø area next year as they have done the last 5 years before.

Our trips start right off your doorstep by the dock in Hamn, and you will go out with an experienced skipper and a knowledgeable guide who can tell you about these fantastic creatures. Our boats only take up to 12 people, which give you a close and personal experience.
Combine the Arctic visit with experiences of the Northern Lights, snowshoeing, sightseeing along one of the most scenic roads in Norway, outdoor hot tub under the Northern Lights, learn how to prepare fish and the fishing traditions of Senja and more. Another option is to enjoy the peace and quiet of Senja, the amazing winter colours, weather and landscape moods. Bring your camera – we guarantee you will never run out of motifs.

Our restaurant can provide you with local food and a taste of Norwegian traditional foods and fish dishes.
