We have 66 rooms in our resort. Our guests come from all over the world. We offer accomodation, restaurant, conference rooms and activities, in amazing surroundings.

Guide with norwegian skipper license D5L – apply before 28.07.2017

Are you an experienced guide who holds a norwegian skipper license (D5L) and would love to come and work in one of the best hotelresorts of Norway?

Do you love outdoor experiences as much as we do? Both at sea and on shore, winter and summer?

The job of your dream is available right now.

We offer a permanent guide-position. In most of the year it is a full time job, but on some parts of the year our activity is a bit lower (october-december and april-may). We can therefor not guarantee you a 100% position for 12 months, but we do guarantee you a minimum of 80% position in average of the year.

If you also hold skills that can be in combination with other needs of the company, there is likely that you can work full time anyway.

Work tasks and responsibilities:

Be a skipper and guide on our boats from 22 feet and upwards (7 boats)

Guide our guests also in a minivan (9 seats), or by bicycle, on hiking, fishing, kayaking, northernlight activities, snowshoes etc. If you have experience with some of these activities and not all, you can still apply.

You must have the interest for various activities in northern Norway both winter and summer, so a highly personal interest in snow/ winter and outdoor activities is a “must-have”.

Technical and practical skills and knowledge is mandatory.

Your experiences:

Guide experience from Norwegian conditions

Skipper experience of the conditions we operate in

Customer service, organisation of groups, handling different conditions and work tasks


Your other qualifications:

Minimum skipper license D5L including the extra courses (IMO 60 and more) to be fully qualified to run the boats up to 12 passengers

Drivers license B (at  minimum), BE, D, D1 is a bonus

Other sertificates for guides is a bonus, ex. kayaking, winterguiding, toptour skiing in winter etc

Positive, smiling attitude and extrovert personality

You are responsible, reliable, punctual and a great teamworker who can also function as the only guide

Language skills:

English speaking and writing skills are mandatory

Norwegian or other scandinavian language is also good

Other languages is a bonus (German, Russian, French, Spanish, Japanese)

Do you have a diploma and a profession as housekeeper? Are you looking for a full time employment and have the skills and interest to be head of housekeepers and to aim for economical goals as well as the satisfaction of performing on a high level of quality?

Language skills:

English is mandatory, both written and spoken language. If you also speak a scandinavian language, this is a bonus.

A diploma of professional housekeeping. If you can document long and relevant experience, this can be considered.

Understanding of economy in a HK department and of hotel industry.

Your responsibilities:

Main responsibility of all cleaning in the hotel / resort and to lead the HK dep in a good way in accordance with hotel manager

Responible for top performances and a high level of cleanliness and service

Have an active attitude towards developing and managing the department according to the companys strategy and goals

Responsible for orders to your dep and to take good care of the stock and valuables, including counting of stock

Make the shiftplan 3 weeks ahead

Work together with hotel manager to recruit the best team

Develop and perform extra services for special groups and occasions, such as weddings, VIP etc

Seasonal work – general applications

Every summer season (ca. May to August/September) we need extra personnel for the restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, guiding and in the reception. Some of the working periods can be extended for some of the positions.

  • For positions in the restaurant preferable scandinavian speaking will be prioritised.
  • For receptionists, only scandinavian speaking will be accepted.
  • For kitchen and housekeeping appliers, also only english speaking will be considered.
  • Outdoor/activities – boat certificate and experience to be at sea, technical skills, guide certificates etc. is welcoming
  • Appliers need to be minimum 20 years.
