Northern lights tours

Northern lights photo tour

The spectacular scenery of the Northern Lights is a natural wonder that is best viewed in certain locations and under favourable circumstances. On our guided northern light tour by car, we can find the best spots to photograph the auroras with the amazing Senja nature in the background. If it’s cloudy by the coast, we also have the opportunity to move further in land to have better chances of spotting the lights. You can borrow a camera tripod for photography and your guide will be available to help you take great photos of the lights.

We can of course never guarantee that the northern lights will come, but we will do our very best to try to find a good spot to see them.

When the sky is clear in Hamn, you will be able to see the Aurora stretching over the mountains and the fjord and all the way out to the horizon. Stay in the light house with a 360 degree view over the fjord and wait for the show to start. Rent tripods for 50 NOK a night.

It’s important to make sure you have good clothing and shoes when you are outside in the wintertime. You can rent warm and comfortable shoes and outdoors winter clothing from Hamn, but make sure you have good clothing underneath as well. Layering is important, and wool is the perfect base! It’s always good to bring some extra jackets or sweaters and hats to put on later on.
