Summit to sea skiing on Senja
Hiking to peaks of nearly 1000 metres quickly becomes its own reward, as the magnificent view opens up all around you. Once the top is reached you are ready to set off down vast slopes of powdery snow. Cruising off-piste towards the bright blue Atlantic Ocean is the ultimate arctic skiing experience!
The winter in Northern Norway is long and stable, and mountains of all shapes and sizes are found in the landscapes around Senja. As such, the conditions are excellent for alpine skiing adventures. There are numerous peaks, and slopes that offer various degrees of difficulty. Even in outskirt coastal areas, a lot of the spectacular mountain sites are easily accessible by car.
Ski touring with a guide
If you are interested in guiding, we’ll provide local mountain guides. Our guides offer guided off-piste skiing trips to mountain peaks all over Senja island. The guides will select trips with you according to your level, experience and the conditions. Send us information about dates, number of people and experience level and we will help to organise it for you.
