Senja Ski Camp - An unforgettable adventure

 30.4 – 3.5.2026

Experience some of the very best ski touring Norway has to offer

Make the most of the very end of April and the May 1st long weekend. At Senja Ski Camp, you can catch some truly special ski days — with long tours and turns in the soft, early light of the coming midnight sun. Senja is known for its unique mix of easily accessible peaks, varied terrain and reliable conditions. With several climate zones and a diverse geography, the island offers outstanding flexibility. If conditions aren’t ideal in one area, there’s almost always another option nearby – giving you better skiing and more time on the snow .

Many of Senja’s mountains are well-suited for safe ski touring, with short approaches and efficient ascents. This makes it an ideal destination for skiers who want to maximise quality skiing without long approaches or complicated logistics.

With Hamn i Senja as your base, you combine spectacular ski touring with comfortable accommodation, personal hosting and short transfers to the mountains – so you can focus on what really matters: great skiing and memorable days in the mountains. After the day out in the mountains, return to spacious suites, an after ski visit in one of the outdoor jacuzzies and cosy gatherings in the after ski saloon before well-deserved dinners in the evenings. A good night sleep awaits in our comfortable beds before next days adventure!

Camp Guides 2026

Our ski touring guides, Øyvind Aanes and Tore Bergbjørn, are certified mountain guides (IFMGA / NORTIND) with extensive experience in alpine terrain and deep local knowledge of Senja.
For them, it’s not all about speed and vertical metres. It’s about good flow, good company and enjoying the day in the mountains. Expect a pace that fits the group, proper breaks, safe decision-making and plenty of good moments along the way – both on the skin up and on the ski down.
In short: solid guiding, relaxed vibes and skiing that actually feels good.

World-Class Ski Touring on Senja – 7 Signature Tours

Senja offers an exceptional variety of ski touring, from safe and scenic spring tours to steep, alpine lines rising straight from the fjords. With short approaches, flexible terrain and reliable April conditions, the island is ideal for ski touring at every level.

This Ski Touring Camp gives possible access to a hand-picked selection of Senja’s finest tours – of course always chosen according to conditions, weather and the group.

Highlights include:

Husfjellet – a true fjord-to-fjord classic with smooth ascents, wide open slopes and stunning views. A perfect introduction to ski touring on Senja.

Segla – the island’s most iconic peak. Narrow, airy and dramatic, offering an unforgettable alpine experience for confident and experienced ski tourers.

Kvænan – a versatile mountain with multiple line options and both north- and south-facing aspects, making it ideal for changing snow and weather conditions.

Keipen – a beautifully shaped alpine peak with ridges, faces and excellent snow quality, often at its best late in the spring.

Barden – a safe and enjoyable spring tour with softer terrain and reliable conditions, delivering great skiing without excessive exposure.

Store Hesten – steeper, bolder and more dramatic than its name suggests, with powerful fjord descents and a strong alpine feel.

Stormoa – a longer but steady ascent rewarded with expansive views and long, flowing descents when conditions are stable.
