The National Scenic Route follows Senja's dramatic western coastline, passing through some of the island's most spectacular landscapes. During the northern lights season, the route provides access to open viewpoints, fjords, and mountain scenery far from urban light pollution. Combined with changing weather and Arctic skies, this creates exceptional opportunities for experiencing and photographing the northern lights over Senja.
